My first time in Leipzig and I must say, that I like the city. I spend almost three days here, living in the Leipzig Marriott Hotel. The Hotel was also great, but the best thing was the fresh banana kiwi shake at the breakfast buffet :o)
With over 500,000 population it’s quite big and they have a lot of nice old buildings. We also went outside the city to the Cospudener lake with a spacious natural park. Beside the cultural and architectural sightseeing, I also got some culinary highlights:
- cheese cake and apple cake in Mövenpick Restaurant Naschmarkt
- blueberry cake with hot chocolate Vienna style in the coffee house Riquet
- foil-baked potato with mushroom sauce in Bellinis
- grilled meat plate „Andalusz“ in Pata Negra
