Another not only interesting, but very entertaining lecture about entrepreneurship. Guy Kawasaki was speaking at the TiECon back in 2006 and gave the audience ten recommendations for a successful foundation of a startup:

  1. Make meaning (e.g. “Increase the quality of life”)
  2. Make mantra (e.g. “peace of mind” for FedEx)
  3. Get going
  4. Define a business model (Be specific, keep it simple)
  5. Weave a MAT (milestones, assumptions, tasks)
  6. Niche thyself (goal: unique service with great value to customer)
  7. Follow the 10/20/30 rule (10 slides in 20 minutes with 30 point font)
  8. Hire infected people (who love your product)
  9. Easy adoption
  10. Seed the clouds
